Why sitting is a dangerous health threat

The human body is built for movement, not sitting still. Sitting for prolonged periods of time can cause reduce our metabolism, reducing our ability to process sugar and fat from our bloodstream and spiking our insulin levels.  The latest trend has shown that the new killer, like smoking before it, is sitting. Sitting for prolonged periods of time has been linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
