Change takes us to a place between old and new. The old habits and patterns no longer work or fit. Perhaps they never did. The new habits and patterns have not yet been ingrained to fully become a habit. Sometimes we can use scheduling, planning, motivation, inspiration and imagery to feel let toward the new habit or pattern, in the act of releasing or dropping old habits. The situation or habit needs to make your physiology and nervous system feel safe.

Steps:

Identify an old pattern you need to release

Create a way your habit needs to change and have one that can replace it in place or mind. Schedule it, imagine it, know your why? Why do you want to change it? The depth of the why supports the depth of the change.

Set boundaries around this new habit – only tell those that will support you, not those that will mock or bully you back to your old habits.

Sit and feel what you would imaging you will feel like your body once you have successfully added in a new habit and released the old one.

What resources do you need?

Act – don’t wait until you feel ready – act now.

Feel what happens in your body as a weight is lifted releasing the old.

See what story unfolds as you take radical responsibility for your health and feel empowered.

Track what happens is key so you can truly see the changes unfolding – if you don’t you won’t realize what changes have occurred.
