Women’s Health Necessities

Ladies – How are you? How are you doing with your health? Your mindset? Your movement? Your nutrients?

Gosh there are so many things to consider every day how can you do more?

One crucial element is a small step – you get to decide what that is. You decide what small step to add in or perhaps take away. Sometimes taking something away is harder as we often already feel “lacking” as we give so much to others. As such, adding something can be easier.

Sit for a moment – would it be easier for you to add in a walk, water, an essential nutrient such as Vitamin D Drops, or listen to 2 of your favorite songs and have a small kitchen dance party? (Yes you can include your chiropractic check up in here).

Small steps done consistently over time add up – build up your resiliency, strength, adaptability.

What is essential for life? Movement is life and life is moment. Global and segmental movement is essential to just to feel good but for out bodies to actually work properly – not just have a sore joint in our knee or back. It directly impacts our brains/ our minds. Movement is nourishment for our brain. If you are able to walk or have a kitchen dance party to begin to move – please do!

If movement becomes easy – begin to incorporate movement with resistance – ugh yes I said it – and no its not body building per say – I feel many know that weight raining or resistance training is not that perception these days as it was before. Our muscles start to atrophy when they are not used and yes when we hit that magical age of forty they exponentially decrease in size and strength. If you need insight or help reach out.

The other – Adding in essential nutrients. What are essential nutrients? These are nutrients your body can not produce and utilize on their own. Vitamin D and Omega 3 to feed and fuel your body, brain and support how it works – like your immune system, nervous system, muscular system and on and on. Your body needs these. How much and not sure please ask your health provider or come in to learn more. (Avoiding sugars and toxins help too – save this for another post).

Mindset – gosh – research is starting to show us that getting your body in order with movement and nutrients can accelerate the healing / health of your mindset. This area is like all others challenging. You. Need to determine what you are drawn to in order to support and strengthen your mindset. I wont go into all the nuances here – there are many directions to go and many professionals to help. Kari Harris our provisional psychologist can support you in this area as well. She will be one of your biggest cheerleaders. Meditation, music, quiet time, journalling, creativity, movement, social media detox, news detox, you name it can help. When we do a nutritional detox – doing a media detox is just as important.

Everything you see, hear, do and speak impacts your health. Surround yourself with those that are encouraging, loving, speaking words that encourage life and energy and vibrancy, such as words that make you want to come back for more because when you left that connection you felt uplifted and energized – not angry, or sad, or shared in complaining.
